And the season begins!! Friday October 2nd, 2015 the Hawks played host to the Westman WildCats in Carman. This was the first game of the season. Hawks came out ready, and played a strong game, coming on top with a 6-2 victory. Great way to start the season!! After the first period, the score was 2-0 for the Hawks, with goals from Reagan Nykyforak, unassisted and Brooklyn Dobson, from Maiya Aschberg, and Hannah Desrochers. Hawks had 2 power plays in the first but were unable to score on either. The second period Wildcats came out and scored two quick ones. Hawks came back and answered with two of their own. Breanna Millions scored, unassisted during a power play and Maiya Aschberg also taking advantage of a power play putting one in the net, from Cora Fijala. The Hawks weren’t done yet, coming out in the third to score two more. Brooklyn Dobson, scoring her second of the night from Maiya Aschberg and Hannah Desrochers. Janique Leclaire scoring unassisted during the last power play of the night. Kaydence Romijn minded the net for the Hawks and faced 15 shots.
